Course Description

As Executives and/or Managers of firms, the participants will learn the concepts and skills in order to conduct successfully the business of the firm in the global markets.

The course will cover:

1.The foundations for a global economy: political, economic and legal forces, determinants of economic development, ethics and good governance.

2.The global markets: political economy and trade concept, competitive advantage, balance of payment, trade wars, policy on foreign direct investments, mode of entry to international markets, and regional integration in the world.

3.The global money: global money system, exchange rate determination and forecasting, international monetary system, strategy in international business and alliances.

4.The global attributes: negotiations and issues in diverse cultures. Real life cases will be discussed in class among the students and the professor/facilitator.

Participants are encouraged to give a 15 minutes presentation of own challenges and blockers.
